Hi, I'm Alyse! I am a Utah-based photographer who creates genuine, flattering, and timeless portraits for joyful families. My job is to capture the magic and beauty of your world and the people you love while making sure you look incredible in every shot - no matter how un-photogenic you think you are.
Photography sessions with me are fun and easy because I know how to transform chaos into magic. During the session my goal is not only to create soft and dreamy images for your future generations to admire, it is also to help you and your family slow down for a couple hours and hold each other close in a perfectly imperfect moment together. That snapshot will be transformed into a tangible memory that will forever represent your beautiful, messy, magical life. Oh, and did I mention that I know all the posing secrets and photoshop tricks for flattering images? With me, you can trust you are going to look amazing.
When I was 14-years-old, my grandpa took professional photos of my family. Those photos became priceless because just 3 months later my siblings and I lost our parents in a car accident.
The film was developed shortly after the accident, and when I held this photo in my hands for the first time, it felt like my parents were back with me again. That single image became a lifeline and a tangible reminder of the love my parents had for me. It showed me how a happy moment, once captured, can last a lifetime. And it taught me that a photograph is more than an art, it's a connection to the people you love most.
I followed in my grandpa’s footsteps and picked up a camera and began taking pictures of everyday moments. Through the lens of my camera, I was surprised to see so much beauty still present in my life despite my loss. The world looked different through a camera. I began noticing details I’d have otherwise missed and everything looked more vibrant and alive. When my children were born, my camera became an even more powerful tool. Photography became a way to hold onto love and create something lasting from the precious moments that slip away too quickly.
I’ve experienced firsthand how powerful photos can be - they become priceless treasures that preserve the people and moments we never want to forget. What began as a way to document and celebrate my own life's story became a passion for helping others document and celebrate theirs. I've now been a professional family photographer for nearly a decade and it is one of the happiest things I do. It's such a privilege to photograph the intimate connection between families and I consider every photo session a incredible honor. My passion is preserving the warmth and connection of magical, everyday moments that might have otherwise slipped away and been forgotten.
I made slushies at Tropical Tiki Treats when I was 14. I would eat non-stop Tiger's Eys slushies while I watched soap operas on a mini TV.

Severance! I love everything about it - the plot, the acting, the character development, and the cinematography. I can't wait to watch more! So so good.

I am part of a nonprofit called which was founded by my amazing cousin, Anna Harrison. We collaborate with other non-profit organizations to provide family photos for those who can’t afford them or don't have access to high quality photography equipment. Most of our events take place in Utah with Utah families, but we have travelled abroad to the Philippines and Ethiopia. These are family portraits I took from our latest trip to Ethiopia. Working with these wonderful families is an unforgettable experience, and I feel truly privileged to capture moments they will cherish for a lifetime.

In Ethiopia we partnered with , a non-profit organization, and trained a new set of photographers. We taught a photography class to 6 little girls who stole our hearts. A loving couple named Tocabay and Mehti helped open a girls home for these beauties and the girls couldn't wait to take photos with cameras that looked just like ours. Besides the first three, all the photos shown here were taken by one of the 6 little girls. We couldn't believe how amazing they turned out! The cameras stayed with the girls and since Tocabay received photography training in college, he has taken over their education. We can't wait to see where it takes them!
